hati seorang pendidik memang akan terusik kalau ada anak murid yang selalu datang lambat atau ponteng kelas.

kalau hati kau dah tak terusik bila ada anak murid yang bebal dan malas buat perangai, baik la berhenti dari jadi pendidik. i guess you might have heard of expression, "spare the rod spoil the child". kalau kau nak buat buta dan pekak je bila anak murid buat perangai, you're actually playing with their future whether you like it or not.

you might have heard of another expression, "old habits die hard". kalau sekarang ni pun anak murid dah tunjuk perangai, kau fikir diorang boleh berubah ke bila dah besar nanti? bila diorang dah keluar ke dunia luar? kalau diorang nak berubah bila dah berada di dunia luar memang dah terlewat. untuk berubah mengambil masa yang lama. tapi kalau dah keluar dengan result yang teruk, memang hancur la masa depan diorang. and if you don't feel pity for these kids' future, then i'd like to suggest you to stop being a teacher / tutor / lecturer.

it's no use to have a broken heart when you don't play your part now. selalunya orang bila dah terhantuk baru nak mengaduh. you can play your part in the kids' transitions from bad to good by knocking their senses. kalau nak tunggu diorang terhantuk lambat sangat. kenapa tak ketuk je kepala diorang tu sekarang? heiii.. some people enjoy learning the hard way. so give that to them. why save it for tomorrow? why waste your manipulative skills? they might not see that education is valuable to them now. they might laugh when you tell them to be punctual or spend more time studying. believe me, they would be grateful if you might act a little harsh now than just standing there letting them screwing up their own lives and yours.

kadang-kadang bila bebudak buat nakal diorang sebenarnya nak perhatian. these kids with attitude problems most of the time are neglected by their parents and peers. kalau kau sebagai pendidik don't do something and expect their parents to change them, then i suggest you once again, STOP BEING A TEACHER! kalau kau masih nak jadi pendidik then you gotta do something.

pernah dengar pasal Pavlov dan eksperimennya dengan anjing? seekor anjing ni diberi makan. tapi sebelum makanan sampai, loceng akan dibunyikan. setelah beberapa lama, air liur anjing akan meleleh bila dia mendengar loceng. apa kaitannya dengan masalah pendidik dan anak muridnya yang bebal dan malas di atas?

carilah loceng itu. "conditioning" is the word of the day, my dear. this might sound crude. but behaviourism can teach you a lot of things. tak ada bezanya murid yang bebal dan malas dengan seekor anjing. they cannot decide for themselves. you gotta take control and make YOUR decision. you can choose whether you just wanna see your students screwing up their future right before your eyes or you wanna do something about it? the choice is yours.

that's why i don't wanna be a teacher. i don't want to play with somebody else future because i know how hurt it is to have a screwed up life.
